Charles Schwab Phishing Attack

This morning my spam filtering systems detected a new phishing email scam which claims to come from the Charles Schwab.  The email contains a link, which my filtering systems removed.  This leads me to believe that the email contains a virus at the very least. This is based on the fact the filtering systems that I'm using attempt to remove virus prior to applying any other filters.  Keep in mind that most organizations will not send out emails requesting that you login to change information about you or your account.

• alert@schwab.com
• Charles Schwab
  

Subject lines for the phishing scam include and are not limited to:

• Charles Schwab Alert

Example of the emails text:

We're making some exciting changes that will make your online banking experience even better, We therefore request your to verify your location.

Please note that your Charles Schwab has been flagged by our system and all flagged account required verification for Online Banking to remain active due to recent changes we have made to our online banking system.

This verification will allow us to activate new features for your account on our system and to protect your account fully against ID Theft. We have made these changes to ensure only You have access and use your Charles Schwab Account's.
